A detailed A3 revision sheet containing key quotations in short easy to remember chunks for the following 4 supporting characters in Romeo and Juliet: Mercutio, Capulet, Nurse and Friar.
There is a differentiated activity to encourage students to use the revision sheet effectively:

Students read a model response to the following question:
How does Shakespeare present the theme of love in Romeo and Juliet. (34).
Then then have to annotate each sentence to analyse what the essay writer is doing in each section of the response.

A Christmas Carol: Writing frame for AQA exam question on Scrooge
Ideal for lower ability students or students responding to an AQA exam question on A Christmas Carol for the first time, this writing frame guides students through the process of responding to a question about Scrooge’s lack of humanity. The sentence stems invite students to respond to outside of the extract as well as inside the extract and include opportunities to make links to context.
